2007 Jeep Compass Review (continued)
Add your own review or comments

Summary

The all-new Jeep Compass brings great things to the compact SUV market. Safety, style, comfortable ride, steady handling, high fuel mileage, advanced engineering with the four-cylinder World Engine and Continuously Variable Transaxle, and superb four-wheel-drive capability. Last but definitely not least (except in a good way): affordability. It's an intelligent vehicle with which Jeep should do well.

NewCarTestDrive.com correspondent Sam Moses filed this report from western Oregon.

Overall a great SUV, but I could be more pleased. It still needs better gas mileage and bigger engine. Better seats and better tires. Other than that I don't have any improvements to mention.

I just got a 2007 Compass and just love it. I just love the room in it and it drive great. The interior is comfortable, plenty of room in the backseat and the back doors are very accessible.

It's easy to navigate and park, and the ride is great. The Compass is more than I expected. It's just the perfect size for an SUV and the gas mileage is great. I think it only needs a little more power.
