Summary
The all-new Jeep Patriot more than fills the bill, it defines new territory. For about $17,000 it offers 4WD Jeep capability in a compact SUV with a strong four-cylinder engine that gets an EPA-rated 25/29 mpg. The suspension is superb: stable and comfortable in all situations. Cargo capacity in the Patriot is large because all the passenger seats can easily fold flat. With a full complement of safety features, it will be hard to find more capability and value for the money.NewCarTestDrive.com correspondent Sam Moses filed this report from Scottsdale, Arizona.

| | Awesome! great value for your money, and is a very well built SUV. I love the exterior design, the gas mileage, the roomy feel, the turning capability, and (My Fav) the stereo system. A bit More pick-up is all I would like to add here. | | posted by Andon Nikel on Apr 14 2007 | | |

| | The Patriot handles much better than I expected. This Jeep is a blast to drive. It is nice on long road trips and great on gas. Bigger gas tank would be a big plus; but I would recomend this vehicle to people looking for something with pretty good storage space. | | posted by Olive Mcman on May 28 2007 | | |

| | This is my first Jeep and it is great! Quiet, smooth, solid, and affordable. The seats are great and the comfort is pretty good. Removable flashlight is cool. Ride is smooth. Stereo system sounds great. Instrument panel could be more user friendly. | | posted by Norman on Apr 21 2008 | | |
