Summary
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class offers a nice balance. It's not as stiff and unforgiving as some SUVs, nor as mushy on and off road as others. It has reasonable off-road capability and good towing capacity, but it's never a chore to drive during the more mundane daily tasks most drivers will undertake. Its choice of four engines is a plus, allowing owners to tailor priorities from high mileage to high performance.NewCarTestDrive.com contributor Jim McCraw filed this report from Provence, France.

| | I love this MB. It is quiet and drives very smoothly as expected from a MB. DVD navigation system works great. Exterior and interior design are well thought out. I would suggest this car to anyone who wants a car that they will want to drive every day. | | posted by Solomon on Feb 06 2007 | | |

| | This is the ultimate SUV. It is super fast, luxurious, comfortable, and has the looks too. Would like to see the fuel mileage improve a little. | | posted by Tomas on Nov 30 2007 | | |

| | ML500 exceeds my expectations. I love this vehicle because its styling is second to none, especially with the AMG package. Other than the transmission, there's nothing to complain about. Also, better fuel economy would be nice. | | posted by Kristian on Dec 02 2007 | | |
