Summary
The Mercury Sable has class-leading passenger and cargo room inside, when you count the trunk, the folding rear seats, and the legroom-heavy interior, and that alone may be a reason to buy for a larger family. The AWD models have a very capable computer-controlled all-wheel-drive system for all-weather driving. The Sable comes with a brand-new powertrain with competitive power and mileage in this segment. The Sable is big on the inside, big on the outside, and it rides taller than most of the sedans in this segment with its raised seats.Jim McCraw filed this report to NewCarTestDrive.com from his base in Dearborn, Michigan.

| | This car is a steal! The Sync system is terrific and the car is so damn comfortable I can hardly believe it. Luxury feel for not so much the price. I would reccomend this for anybody! For the money you can't complain. | | posted by Payton on Jan 04 2008 | | |

| | I enjoy driving my Mercury Sable. It is a very well-built car and has a lot of room. The trunk is large. I enjoy the heated seats, and all the other amenities. The radio has a great sound. The car feels like quality. I am getting about 25 mpg on average. I receive compliments on it often. | | posted by Innes on Mar 06 2008 | | |

| | Heated seats, heated mirrors, 6-disc cd player, plenty of storage, idea for tall men and short women. I like the setting button for different drivers. I also like the lights on the outside mirrors, when they light up. I love the radio system. There is not too much I don't like about my Sable. | | posted by ScIymgeour on May 29 2008 | | |

| | I enjoyed driving my Sable, it is easy to park, and handle around town. It has the power under the hood when I need it on the road. Thoguh electric side mirror control is hard to reach, would be better if on the door panel. Seats in the front could be a little wider. | | posted by Rick Jimmerman on Jul 31 2008 | | |

| | Just bought this 08 Sable and so far I love it. Seats are incredibly confortable, ride is smooth and quiet. I compared with the Fusion and when you add the V6 and traction control with to the Fusion, the Sable is a much better value. | | posted by K.Bothan on Aug 12 2008 | | |

| | The car drives well, it is comfortable and handles easily. I use it to transport seniors from place to place and they have complemented on the Sable's comfortable ride. Its favorite features would be comfortable ride and handling. also the audio system. | | posted by Jimmy Cameron on Sep 09 2008 | | |
