Summary
The Pontiac Torrent is among the biggest of the compact SUVs. It's a competent vehicle with some nice convenience features, such as a sliding rear seat. In terms of refinement it's about average for the class. However, a five-star crash rating and new safety features for '07 add to its appeal.NewCarTestDrive.com correspondent Sam Moses filed this report from the Columbia River Gorge; Mitch McCullough contributed to this report from Los Angeles.

| 2007 Pontiac Torrent consumer reviews: | | | | overall rating | | | value | | | comfort | | | reliability | |
| | I like the solid, quietness of the vehicle. The ride is comfortable and visibility is good. I also like the fact that the vehicle has traction control. Very quiet with great room and great performance. This is an SUV you need to consider before you buy any other SUV. | | posted by Kolton on Nov 12 2007 | | |

| | Nav system and controls are all very user friendly. Good brakes, comfortable ride, heated seats, stability control. As an upgrade package make lights on visor mirrors and a power passenger seat. | | posted by Coleman on Mar 03 2008 | | |
