Audi is the luxury car division of the Volkswagen Group. It began as an independent manufacturer but VW bought it in 1964. Throughout its history Audi has been known for its technical innovations, which included front-wheel drive, the two-stroke engine, and the use of aluminum in automotive body design. Current model include the A3, S3, TT, and A4, as well as the Q5 and Q7 crossover SUVs.
