European Company Extends VW Camper Vans
We wish we could camp like this in the States.

f pop-up campers on Volkswagen vans are cool, than a length extender for them must be cooler.
We think that's sound logic, and European van drivers who want one should contact Overlander Motorhomes about adding the DoubleBack to their T5 Transporter.
The pod has a fold-out bed and a kitchenette
It takes 45 seconds for the extension to add 6.5 feet of usable, self-leveling space that supports 1,323 lbs to the rear of the van, and the total cost for the kit (including the van, apparently, since our source Web site's English is lacking) is $86,898.
The pod has a fold-out bed and a kitchenette, and it seems that when the pod is retracted, there's still room for a driver and passenger, or two passengers with a bench seat.
Sounds like a nice summer ride if your destination is outdoors.
