The Red Alert Driver Fatigue Alarm.

e all know that driving while fatigued is dangerous, and one company is pitching a product that it claims will help tired drivers stay awake.

The Red Alert Driver Fatigue Alarm, which sells on Amazon for $27, looks like a Bluetooth earpiece and emits an audible beep or vibrates or does both when a built-in sensor detects that the driver's head is falling forward.

We don't know if the device works, and one potential design flaw is that a driver could lower their head for other reasons—to grab a drink, to adjust a dial, etc.—and we still recommend not driving at all when you're too tired to do so, but if it helps avoid accidents, we're all for it.
