Next Dodge Dart Ad to Air During NFL Opener

odge already used a prime-time sporting event earlier this year to show off the creative process behind the genesis of the all-new Dart compact sedan (OK, not the real process, per se, but the advertising version), and now the company is at it again, with the next Dart spot debuting on September 5th during the opening game of the NFL season.

We applaud Dodge for taking a humorous approach to the advertising for the Dart.

Those who tune in to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants will see the new spot, dubbed "How to Make the Most Hi-tech Car."

In the ad, Dodge showcases the technological highlights of the Dart by using a time machine to fetch an engineer from the future. It's a clever take on time travel, and once again, for reasons less related to time-travel than to his celebrity, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady makes a cameo appearance.

We applaud Dodge for taking a humorous approach to the advertising for the Dart, which is an important car for the company, since it needs to do well in the compact segment to help Dodge and parent Chrysler recover from bankruptcy. While we like the more serious "Imported from Detroit" Chrysler spots, we also enjoy the contrast.
