Lexus is continuing to work on shedding its staid image with the LF-LC Concept, which debuts at next week’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Images of the car have already leaked online, and the two-door coupe (LC stands for Lexus coupe) has swoopy styling and appears to be sportier than anything in the current Lexus lineup.
Lexus is mum on further details about the car ahead of the auto show, but it does appear that the LF-LC isn’t linked to any existing models, and it will likely have a hybrid powertrain. If not, then it’s possible that a hybrid will be available but a gas engine will be standard.
The LF-LC (we presume the LF stands for “L-finesse,” which is Lexus’ name for its design themes) slots between the IS and GS in size, and perhaps it could serve as a replacement for the bloated SC430.
We’ll know much more about this California-designed 2+2 coupe when it’s officially unveiled next week.
