lawsuit in New Jersey is seeking to determine if those who send a text can be held responsible for damage caused by the recipient.
In 2009, then 19-year-old Kyle Best caused a car accident in which he injured David and Linda Kubert, who were on their motorcycle. Both David and Linda suffered gruesome injuries.
It seems silly to blame Colonna for Best's actions.
Now, their lawyer, Stephen Weinstein, is adding Shannon Colonna to the complaint, saying that Colonna, who was corresponding with Best, should've known that he was driving.
Morris County Superior Judge David Rand is expected to rule about Colonna's role on May 25.
