Chevrolet is an American car manufacturer founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and purchased by General Motors in 1918. Chevy is GM's top selling brand, offering a wide range of vehicles from subcompacts to medium-duty trucks. It produced many classic cars during the 1950s and 1960s, including the Corvette, the Corvair, the Malibu, and the Bel Aire. Current models include the Spark, the Sonic, the Cruze, the Malibu, and the Impala. Chevrolet also offers an "extended range electric car," the Volt, as well as the Camaro and Corvette sports cars. Its crossovers, trucks, and SUVs include the Tahoe, the Suburban, the Avalanche, the Silverado, and the Colorado.
