Overview

The Ford Escape is a compact sport-utility that offers comfortable seating for four and plenty of space for stuff. Its smooth ride and agile handling make for enjoyable driving, and its compact dimensions make it easy to maneuver and park when you get there.

The Escape comes in three trim levels, XLS, XLT, and Limited. Each is available with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard on the XLS and XLT. The 3.0-liter V6 comes standard on the Limited and is optional on the XLT. The Escape Hybrid is fitted with a 2.3-liter gas engine with an electric motor. Side-impact airbags are optional, and are part of a Safety Package that includes Ford's Safety Canopy rollover protection system. Pretensioners combined with load-limiting retractors are standard on front-seat belts.

For 2006, the Ford Escape's lineup has been broadened.

It is very responsive car and has all the luxury we wanted. I definitely appreciate the safe feeling I have when driving it! Perfect size and very well built.

Love the design and hanlding. I have not had any problems with the car at all. All around the car is excellent. It's awesome n I would recommend a test drive if you want a smaller SUV.
