erlin-based designer David Bizer is offering up a unique piece of jewelry, one that's created from a digital audio recording of a voice or a song. He uses acrylic, wood, and silver to create pieces of art from a recording, and happy customers can wear their custom piece as a bracelet or necklace.
Bizer created a tutorial on Instructables.com about how to create the pieces, and the process looks really interesting. The pieces from the waveform are connected on a sheet of whatever material is being used, and in order to assemble, the wearer needs to pop the pieces out of the form and line them up.
Bizer says, "The representation of the waveform looks preciser[sic] with thinner materials, shower samples work better. Speech samples look more interesting compared to music with its repeating patterns. If you choose a song: use a part with vocals or melody."
Check out these photos of the work.
