ood researchers investigated over 4,000 health claims made by various food manufacturers and supermarkets and have found what they say is the world's healthiest meal. The 4,000 claims were slimmed down to 222 claims that were actually true, and from those foods the researchers have drawn up a menu.
Full of super-foods that can provide plenty of vitamins, the menu is varied and includes snacks to tide people over between meals. Things like Omega-3 oils are included in the diet, as are things like high-fiber foods and foods good for arterial health.
The head researcher, Dr. Paul Berryman, created the meal as a perfect airline meal, but said that it would work just as well at home.
The meal starts off with "fresh and smoked salmon terrine," which is good for the heart and the brain. The salmon terrine is accompanied by a mixed-greens salad with a dressing of olive oil, said to be good for maintaining normal cholesterol levels. So far, this meal sounds pretty boring to us.
The second course is a casserole of chicken, lentils, and mixed vegetables, and the desert is a live yogurt-based blancmange (sort of like panna cotta, thickened with guar gum) with walnuts and a sugar-free caramel-flavored sauce.
Other recommendations include items for dieters, like a mixed-berry shake that serves as a meal replacement, or a cocoa drink that contains melatonin for cold days/nights.

But what's it matter if a dish is healthy—if it doesn't taste good, no one will eat it. Would you eat this "super meal"?
