As part of Chevrolet’s 100-year anniversary celebration, the carmaker has launched a Pandora station featuring 100 songs that mention Chevy in the lyrics.
Obvious choices like Don MacLean’s “American Pie” (“Drove my Chevy to the levee”), Bob Seger’s “Night Moves” (“Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy”), and Prince’s “Little Red Corvette” (“Little red Corvette”), are included, along with less well-known Chevrolet-inspired numbers like The Rolling Stones’ “Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man” (“I got a Corvette and a searsucker suit”), The Who’s “Water” (“My Chevrolet just made steam”), Elvis Costello’s “Less Than Zero” (“They traded in their baby for a Chevrolet”), ZZ Top’s “Chevrolet” (“Hallelujah, hallelujah,
ride my Chevrolet”), and The Ramones’ “Go Li’l Camaro Go.” (“Go li’l Camaro, go! Ooh!”).
Unfortunately, if you’re riding in your Chevrolet, you can’t listen to Pandora. At least not until GM’s MyLink system comes to their cars, which should be in time for Chevy’s 101st birthday.
