Named for Cadillac founder Henry M Leland's hero Abraham Lincoln. Ford Motor Company purchased Lincoln Motors in 1922 but continued to operate somewhat as a separate entity ultimately becoming the Lincoln Division of Ford Motor Company. Now a division of Ford Motor Company Lincoln is an American luxury automobile with a varied linup including sedans, the MKS, a full size luxury car with front wheel drive and the MKZ- a mid-size luxury car. Lincoln also offers two cross over utility vehicles, the MKT and MKX, and the award winning SUV Navigator.
