Oldsmobile is no longer with us, having headed to that great junkyard in the sky in 2004. There are still plenty on the road, however, as the company produced 35.2 million vehicles over its 107-year lifetime. General Motors folded the brand due to poor sales and profitability, and that foreshadowed the larger consolidation of the company's brands several years after the final Olds rolled off the line. The announcement to kill the brand came in late 2000, but it took until 2004 for the brand to dissolve completely.
