The title itself is a misnomer; a better title might have been "By All Means DO Punch A Rockstar Because No One Will Ever Care About Your Lousy Band."

here are many roads to fame. You can make it on talent, you can make it through connections, or you can make it by punching a semi-famous rock star in a video that goes viral and makes you famous as “that guy who punched Danzig in the face.”

Yes, the Danzig face-puncher is back to remind us all of that time in 2004 when an altercation backstage was captured on someone’s smartphone and uploaded to YouTube.

Danny Marianino, singer for the Arizona band North Side Kings, the man who delivered the punch seen ‘round the world, has now written a book, Don’t Ever Punch A Rockstar: A Collection of Hate Mail & Other Crazy Rumors. As the subtitle implies, it’s not really a book, and Marianino really didn’t write it, a bunch of people commenting on YouTube and emailing Marianino through Facebook are the book’s true authors.

Of course, the title itself is a misnomer; a better title might have been By All Means DO Punch A Rockstar Because No One Will Ever Care About Your Lousy Band. But you don’t really expect the guy who punched Danzig to be all that bright, do you?

The book will apparently be self-published—the only information about it is on the Facebook page Marianino set up for the book—and there’s no word on a release date or a price.

We’re quite sure the book will be bad, but we have to hand it to Marianino for stretching out the world’s flimsiest 15 minutes of fame for nearly nine years.
