In the latest patent case, a Japanese judge ordered Apple to pay Samsung's legal fees.

ast week, it was announced that Samsung lost their court case against Apple over patents and would have to pay Apple over $1 billion. Now, though, they've won a Japanese case surrounding other patents, and a Japanese judge has ordered Apple to pay Samsung's legal fees.
Last time the two tech giants faced off, Samsung lost. This time, they won.Similar to the American trial, the case revolved around whether Samsung's smartphones and Galaxy Tab infringed on Apple copyrights, but this time around, the court found that their phones and tablets didn't violate Apple's patents.
The patents involved in the Japanese case had to do with synchronizing music and video data with servers, but the court dismissed the case, with Judge Tamotsu Shoji saying, "It's hard to believe the products belong to the range of technologies of the claimant."
In other words, no way, Jose, Apple.
After this ruling, despite Apple being ordered to pay Samsung's legal fees, it's still not enough to offset the loss they took from the American trial, but it's at least a start.
