his week was the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, and as such, we might have expected to see some Presley-themed apps top the charts, but alas, not so much. Guess everyone isn't a superfan. That said, here are the apps that did make the charts, as well as a few we can't stop clicking on to.
Paid Apps.
Paid Apps Where's My Perry? took the top spot this week, followed by last week's winner, AppZilla 3. Mad Skills BMX is in third place. It's a game that, unsurprisingly, puts you in the bike seat of a BMX course. Fourth place goes to WhatsApp Messenger, which has held strong on the top five list for some time now, and fifth place is Pitfall!, an adventure-themed game.
Free Apps.
Free Apps This week's free apps are all over the place. In first is The Simpsons. That's right, your favorite cartoon has finally gotten the iPhone treatment in a Sims-esque game. Second is The Heist, the impossibly difficult "escape" game. In third place is SongPop Free, and in fourth is Jaws Revenge. Fifth place goes to ring.tones, an app that reminds us of what phones were like four years ago, when everyone had customized ringtones—this one lets you make your own.
SongPop
Our Favorites
SongPop Although we resisted, we finally gave in to the lure of SongPop. Match up against your Facebook friends or random strangers and duke it out. See who can guess the song fastest and gain the most points. It sounds a little silly, but you'll be addicted in no time.
SplitCam
SplitCam SplitCam gives you the ability to mesh two photos together. This free app splits your camera into two halves, letting you blend two photos at a time. It's kind of cool if you want to shoot someone against a better background than a wall, as you can splice the two images together after you've taken two separate pictures. It's pretty neat, and it's free. Check it out.
