T

his week's top apps cross a broad range of uses.  From fun games to useful organizers, the ol' App Store has you covered yet again for the apps you're most likely to keep using and not delete after three days when you get bored of them. That said, here's what you should be on the lookout for this week.

pai Paid apps.

Paid Apps
Coming in first place in the paid apps category is Wipeout, a digital version of playing dodgeball. The only thing is, in this game, a computer is the person throwing the balls at you, so expect it to be ruthless. In second is WhatsAppMessenger (we've been over this before), and in third is Draw*, which, you know, lets you paint pretty pictures. Fourth keeps Where's My Perry? on top, and fifth goes to Minecraft.

free
Free apps.

Free Apps
The popular free apps have changed up a bit. In first is What's My IQ?, that terrible game with errors that's supposed to tell you how smart you are. In second is Extreme Skater, and in third is SongPop Free. Fourth place goes to Candy Maker, a game that lets you create, but sadly not eat, candy.  Finally, we have The Last Driver, a driving game.

ocarina
Ocarina 2.

Our Favorites
Ocarina 2
makes our list of faves this week. It's a fun way to play a sort of "Guitar Hero" esque game, except it sounds more like a recorder. This one's also free.

overdrive
OverDrive.

This week, we discovered the Overdrive app, which is free and lets you use your library card to download ebooks. There's no overdue fines, either, because at the end of your rental period, it's just returned digitally. Need we say more?
