GIF, amirite? This week's most popular apps reflect everyone's need to let go after they leave the office, and now that there's more room on the iPhone 5 screen for apps, it's not surprising that people are downloading as many as they can. Let's take a look at what was the most popular this week.
Paid Apps
Paid Apps This week's popular paid apps come in the form of games aplenty. In the top two spots are Bad Piggies and Bad Piggies HD, respectively. It's a game inspired by Angry Birds and from the creators of the game, only this time it's from the perspective of the pigs. In this game, you create a flying/crawling/rolling/spinning/crashing device and pilot the pigs safely to the eggs. If it's anything like Angry Birds, this one will be sitting pretty in the top spots for a while. In third place is The Dark Knight Rises, which seems a little belated to us. WhatsApp Messenger is in fourth, and FIFA Soccer 13 takes fifth place.
Free Apps
Free Apps The free apps this week aren't much different than they were last week, with YouTube and Podcasts taking the top spots, Find My Friends coming in third, and iTunes U coming in fourth. Holding strong in fifth place is Find My iPhone, likely because the new iPhone just came out and there's a throng of new people downloading it to make sure theirs is safe.
Instant Heart Rate
Our Favorites Instant Heart Rate Instant Heart Rate is a free app that—wait for it—has the ability to read your heart rate in just a few quick seconds. It's a good tool if you're exercising and the sensors on the machines don't work (what's that? You go to a gym where the machines work? Oh, well, we can't all be that fancy!) or if you want to monitor your resting heart rate. It works by pressing your finger over the flash/camera lens.
Manga-Camera
Manga-Camera It seems that there's a photo-editing app for just about any effect you want to add to your photos. Want to make yourself look like a Manga character? Check out this app, and you can do just that. It's free.
