It’s the tenth anniversary for Grand Theft Auto 3, and what better way to celebrate the occasion than by releasing the game on mobile platforms? Starting today, GTA3: Ten Year Anniversary Edition is available on both iOS and Android devices.

GTA 3 is available for the iPad, iPod Touch, and of course, the iPhone, and costs $4.99, which is half of the cost of Rock Star Games’ last Grand Theft Auto mobile release, China Town. On Android devices, the game costs $4.99 as well.

Early reviews of the mobile version of the game state that the movement appears smooth and seamless, and players are capable of doing everything they could on the PS2 version of the game, including assaulting pedestrians, stealing cars from hoodrats, and running over cops—the gamer’s dream, we suppose. The mobile game also includes an auto-save feature and mission retries.

GTA3: 10 is available for the iPad 1 & 2, iPhone 4 & 4S, and the iPod Touch 4th Generation. As for Android phones, you’re in luck if you’ve got the HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, or the T-Mobile G2x. Android tablets offering GTA3 support are the Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, and Toshiba Thrive.
