Too Gone Too Long
Randy Travis got himself in a bit of a mess this week. The Grammy-winning country star was cited for assault after he got in a fight outside a church in the Dallas area. Officials are trying to downplay reports that the singer was drunk at the time, although why anyone would think that ol’ Randy was hitting the sauce is beyond us. Maybe it was that drunk-driving incident earlier this month in which police found him lying naked in the street.
From Jerry to Walter
This YouTube video sheds light on the surprising Seinfeld-Breaking Bad connection. It seems many of the castmembers on the soon-to-be-ending AMC series are veterans of the vast extra-on-Seinfeld universe (which also includes Teri Hatcher, Courtney Cox, Amanda Peet, and many others).
Spreadin’ the Hate
In other country-singer-gone-crazy news, Hank Williams Jr. has been spreading his anti-Obama message far and wide. “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S., and we hate him,” Williams recently told an audience of screaming fans.
Meanwhile, on the heavy metal circuit, über Republican Dave Mustaine, singer for Megadeth, has been spreading the bizarre theory that Barack Obama staged the recent Dark Knight Rises shooting in an effort to pass gun control laws…because we all know how good mass shootings have been for creating anti-gun legislation. Remember all those laws that were passed after Columbine? No? Oh yeah, there weren’t any. We wonder if Mustaine thinks Obama was behind the recent Empire State Building shooting as well.
