DISASTEROUS MAPS
This week, the biggest buzz online belongs to Apple, which just released its new iPhone 5 this week, which included the company’s new, and disastrously buggy Maps app. Tweets and postings hit the web hours after the phone’s release, with users complaining about faulty directions, missing towns, and oddly distorted photos. This tumblr features some of the most egregious Maps app.
LYNCHING CHAIRS
The empty chair that doddering codger Clint Eastwood used to represent President Obama during his bizarre, rambling performance art piece at the Republican National Convention has become a symbol of the Obama presidency, which makes the latest trend of “chair lynchings” especially troubling. Several people have hung chairs from trees in mock-lynchings of the President, primarily in the South.
