Infiniti and everyone else knows that their big QX80 SUV flagship is seriously overdue for a makeover. Now we know, at least in part, what it will look like.
From what we can tell, it looks like Infiniti is only retaining the same grille shape and the massive size of the vehicle. The headlights are more refined with an L-shaped LED pattern, a small diagonal eyebrow slit for daytime running lights, and a nicely cross-hatched grille for high drama.
There aren't any details on the car, but we expect it to be potent (and hopefully more efficient). The current QX80 is powered by a huge 5.6-liter V8 engine with 400 horsepower and 416 lb-ft of torque. The interior of the next QX80 will no doubt be very refined, spacious and better in terms of technology and features.
The Infiniti QX80 Monograph concept will be fully revealed on April 11 at the New York Auto Show, and we can't wait to see the entire finished product. The concept will probably be much more dramatic than the production version, but it'll surely be an improvement that's been long overdue.
