The smallest BMW coupe was one of the best looking cars out there, as well as one of the best driving, but BMW felt the need to make it even more attractive. The changes are subtle, but they help take things up a notch. The technology changes on the inside are a little more noticeable. These upgrades, have already been included on the brand’s other models.
The exterior changes include revised LED headlights with hexagonal running lights, revised trim around the twin kidney grilles, and larger air intakes at the bottom of the bumper. Around back, the taillights have been updated too. This helps them work with the new headlights. In addition to these small changes, there are four new alloy wheel options.
Inside the cabin, BMW added an 8.8-inch touchscreen, a wireless phone charger, Apple CarPlay compatibility, and Wi-Fi hotspot. These changes bring the 2-Series up to the level of the rest of BMW’s lineup.
These changes right now are just for the European version of the car, but the U.S. 2-Series will likely receive them, as well. Production of the new 2-Series is supposed to start in July 2017. Not too long after that, the new models should be making their way to car lots near you.
