The 2018 Nissan Armada is both off-road capable, as well as more refined than its predecessor. Nissan just revealed an even more luxurious trim level of the 2018 Armada at the State Fair of Texas. The new Platinum Reserve package ups the ante on the SUV, adding special enhancements on the inside and out. The sister vehicle to the Infiniti QX80 looks and feels truly special now.
The 'Reserve' edition of the Armada uses the current top-range Platinum trim, adding a hefty list of new aesthetic features such as:
- Dark chrome everywhere, including the grille, outside mirrors, door handles, and 20-inch wheels.
- The interior has also be elevated with new two-tone leather-appointed seats with grid-patterned stitching, and Black Quartz and premium wood-tone interior trimming. The new appointments truly put this vehicle in the class of one of the best 7-passenger SUVs out there.
Both upper-level trim variants of the Armada come with standard intelligent rearview mirror technology, which is possibly the first in the full-sized non-luxury SUV segment. The Platinum Reserve starts at $62,985, which pushes it even closer in range with other luxury SUVs such as the Land Rover Discovery HSE Luxury and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.
The 2018 Nissan Armada is already a very nicely appointed SUV, but with the arrival of this new package, it certainly feels more special. The exterior design based on the overseas Nissan Patrol is one of the best-looking SUVs we've seen recently. We can't wait to drive one in the new, more upscale trim.
