Telsa loves hogging automotive news (at least the positive stories), and their surprise gen-2 roadster is expected to be the world's fastest car, which is a huge claim (Elon is known for these). But don't count out Rimac, the Croatian car company that's known for its superfast electric Rimac One. Now, the company is working on a new hypercar, the likes of which should make Tesla a bit nervous. Some teaser images have been released, and they look pretty serious.
There haven't been any details disclosed about the new car, but it comes after the company has been migrating from building hypercars to providing batteries for other exotic car companies. They currently build batteries for the super-expensive Koenigsegg Regera, and they will also produce a version for the new Aston Martin hypercar that's due next year. The fact that the Rimac One electric hypercar can hit 60 mph in 2.4 seconds means the company is doing something seriously right.
The good news is that the company is doing very well after some Chinese infusion of funds, and RImac still plans on building its own hypercars. Watch the latest teaser video from Rimac below. Good news, indeed.
