Dodge has some seriously good-looking appearance packages on the Durango for the R/T (shown below) and SRT models, but now the company brings attractive, sportier styling elements to the vehicle at a lower price. Dodge recently introduced the Rallye Appearance Package for the Durango GT. This adds some more striking visual appeal to the V6 version of the SUV.

Dodge Durango R/T

The Durango GT (shown below on the right) will now get the more masculine look of the Durnago R/T (shown below on the left). The GT trim level of the SUV is available with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. It has a starting price of $37,895. With the 295 hp V6 engine, there’s still plenty of power to move the vehicle down the road, and it can tow up to 6,200 lbs.

The GT model also comes with leather-trimmed seats (two rows of which are heated), a power liftgate and 20-inch alloy wheels. Now, with the addition of the new styling elements in the new Rallye package that are borrowed from the R/T and SRT models, there's a little more drama from an exterior styling standpoint.

Here are the details on the optional Rallye Appearance Package:

  • A performance hood and new front fascia are included. They were both borrowed from the R/T and SRT models.
  • The new hood and fascia include a hood scoop and vents that are actually functional.
  • The package also gets LED fog lights, which are also borrowed from the R/T and SRT Durango models.
  • The package is available in seven different colors: DB Black, Granite, In-Violet, Octane Red, Redline Red, Vice White, and White Knuckle.

The Rallye Appearance Package equipment may not seem like that big of a deal, but the change in the Durango’s appearance is pretty noticeable. If you aren’t a huge fan of the regular GT’s look, the Rallye Package brings some elements that might make you change your mind. The package costs $1,495, and it will only be available for a limited time, though Dodge did not say how long it will be on sale.
