The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show is full of crazy cars each and every year, and some of the coolest one-offs come to wow the crowd. Ford is never one to shy away, and this year they're bringing some tuner cars that should be show stoppers, all in the form of Ford's only production passenger car... the Mustang. Here's a preview of what Ford will bring to the show that runs from October 30 through November 2nd.
TJIN Edition Mustang EcoBoost
Purple is for Prince, Barney, and Yahoo!, you say? Well, TJIN might have something to say about that because their EcoBoost Mustang above (image: TJIN) is clad in the regal color. This one's about as low slung as they get thanks to an adjustable air suspension from Air-Lift 3H, along with big gold rims, what appear to be a carbon fiber splitter and ground effects, a Borg-Warner turbocharger, catback exhaust, Ford Performance short-shifter, as well as Baer Grizzlie brakes. It's a package that's really for sound, street drags, and head turning.
CGS Motorsports Mustang GT
This rendering by CGS shows a lot of grey and silver coloring from Flying Iron Designs and red highlights that pop for effect. CGS used a V8 Mustang GT and then decided to add onto the already healthy 460 horsepower by adding a Ford Performance/Roush supercharger and a Ford Performance catback exhaust with carbon fiber tips. For more stopping power, they also added in large Brembo brakes. The look is way more subtle than the other vehicles here, and we like what we see so far.
Galpin Auto Sports Mustang GT
Galpin's image above shows this monster in a black and purple digital flame paint scheme that looks pretty ferocious and quite original. We're not so sure about the purple wheels, though. But it's what's underneath that counts the most here because of the added Ford Performance parts in the form of a supercharger, catback exhaust, short-throw shifter, upgraded driveshaft and half-shafts. It even gets Shelby GT350R brake calipers. This thing is intended to race, and that's what we love so much.
CJ Pony Parts Mustang GT
The CJ Pony Parts rendering above previews their version of the Mustang GT that's meant for drifting, as evidenced by the lowering springs and the UPR rear suspension upgrade but mostly because of the hydraulic handbrake by Sikky Manufacturing. There's also a Ford Performance supercharger, a catback exhaust, and a short-throw shifter. Inside, there are body-hugging Recaro seats and a full roll cage for protection. The exterior gets a widebody kit with a front splitter, a deck spoiler, and some sweet matte gold HRE wheels. It's ready for a Fast and Furious photo shoot.
Bojix Design Mustang GT
Last but not least is this electric blue GT by Bojix Design. There's a two-tone paint job that showcases a grey roof and APR rear wing spoiler, as well as fascia trim, side mirrors, and ground effects. There are a host of performance upgrades, too, including Ford Performance shocks, springs, and sway bars to improve handing. On the power end of things, there's a Procharger Stage 2 supercharger, Bojix Design exhaust, and Borla mufflers. It also gets more stopping power thanks to strong Brembos.
