The Ram 1500 is one of the best light-duty pickup trucks we've driven thanks to its rugged design, excellent technology, and huge amounts of space. Now, the brand is back with a new Built To Serve special edition pickup truck that honors those on the front lines of paramedics. Whereas previous models honored the military, the 2023 Ram 1500 Built To Serve EMS is for civilian heroes.
The Built To Serve doesn't change any of the power or mechanicals since it is an appearance package based on Ram 1500 Big Horn or Lone Star Crew Cab trims. The package sets itself apart with the American flag and unique Built To Serve stickers on the sides of the truck bed. The truck also gets black trim for the grille, badges, side mirrors, bumpers, side steps, and exhaust tips. The 20-inch aluminum wheels get a dark grey finish, which looks great against the two paint options: Hydro Blue (the one you see here) or Bright White.
The interior isn't fancy, but it fits the part. Every Built To Serve EMS model has black cloth/vinyl upholstery with blue contrast stitching. The truck also gets a special Built To Serve badge on the passenger side of the dash. Perhaps the most unique feature is the ability for the seats to accept Velcro patches so owners can personalize them with patches from their profession or anything else they would like.

This limited edition truck marks the second version of the 15000 in the Built To Serve series. The first version honored Firefighters and it debuted earlier this year in February. The original Built To Serve series paid respect to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the U.S. Coast Guard. This version is just for EMS. The 2023 Ram 1500 Built To Serve EMS starts at $56,810, including a $1,895 destination charge. It's available for purchase now.
