A little while ago, we covered some of our favorite LEGO car creations. Add this new '60s Mustang Fastback to the list because it's begging to get some master builder hands on it. The dark blue 'Stang has it all including racing stripes, working steering mechanism, opening doors, and a hood with requisite big scoop, and that all-important big block V8 under the hood. At nearly 1,500 pieces, it's not some quick build you can just do over breakfast.
The engine is a replica of the V8 found in the vintage Mustang, replete with battery, radiator, hoses and that big round air filter. But wait, there's more. You can add on parts like a huge blower supercharger that juts out from the hood, quad side pipes, a big ducktail spoiler, a front chin spoiler, and upgraded suspension and lift for the rear. Our favorite part might just be the little Nitrous Oxide tank in the trunk.
It's a glorious kit that every car-lover should have. LEGO is knocking things out of the park these days with its Bugatti Chiron, Aston Martin DB5, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Volkswagen Beetle, and Volkswagen T1 Camper Van. Each one is worthy of your time and that all-important desire to return to childhood.
